Please check Australia Post guidelines and regulations regarding sending contaminated products in the post. NSK Tech recommends you sterilize your sterilisable products before sending via post
Sending items that are usually sterilized before use on patients, and that are not sterilized prior to sending to NSK Tech is illegal.
All clinical equipment must be in a sealed pouch or a sterilisation cassette with a valid sterilisation indicator when transporting, without any biohazardous materials. This is in accordance with the following documents.
- Australian Dangerous Goods Code Edition 7.3 (ADG Code)
- Dangerous Goods (Road and Rail) Transport Act 2008
Sending items that are not sterilized will cause delays in the repair process. Furthermore, from 1st January 2023, any clinical equipment received un-sterilised will incur a processing fee of AUD 50.00 + GST per shipment.
Please also note that in order to provide a free quotation all items must be disassembled for investigation and diagnosis.
**If a repair quotation is not accepted the item will be returned in a disassembled state.**
